For those user that have been used Ubuntu, Linux operating system, application for Ubuntu are not at all in short supply. There are the best bit torrent clients for Ubuntu out there which a collection of 6 good bit torrent for Ubuntu, I think are among the best torrent clients such as Utorrent for Windows.

1. µTorrent for Linux
Super fast. Ultra light. µTorrent's built for speed. That means ultra-efficient downloads of mega-sized files.

It is fast, slick and packed with all sorts of functionalities. Deluge is not available in Ubuntu by default, but its in the repositories.

3. Transmission Bit Torrent Client
Transmission is the default bit torrent client in Ubuntu for a long time now. Transmission is a nice mix of simplicity and functionality. And it is my second favorite bit torrent client(after Deluge). It incorporates all the basic features you would expect from a torrent client.

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:transmissionbt/ppa
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get upgrade
